Reply:The answer of course is "It depends." It depends on these factors...
Do you have a CS degree from an accredited institution?
Are you already employed and utilizing your C++ skills?
Are you looking to enter the programming market or transfer from another area?
Certification can provide a form of "proof" that you know your stuff. This could be needed if you don't already program in C++ in your current job, or you don't have a Computer Science degree and are looking for a programming job. If you already program in C++ in your current job, then work experience and a resume with examples of the type of C++ projects you worked on will go a long way with prospective employers. If you have a CS degree, then your resume should highlight C++ projects that you worked on at school.
Including side projects that you do "for fun" goes a long way in showing that you like to program and what type of applications you enjoy working on.
And of course, if you are targeting a specific job and that job requires certification, then of course you need to obtain the certification. But I don't see a lot of C++ job applications requiring certification.
Acertification only proves that you know how to use their tool, but it doesnot prove how good you are as a programmer. Instead, all the employers askfor are the proper education and the related working experience.
If you are looking to get any certification, this website is amazing. its free online Certification Exam. but yahoo's policy not to list links so email me and I will send it to you
