What is a reasonable accommodation?

In a C.D.C. application form for Tenant Re-certification rental assistance.

What is a reasonable accommodation?
Because the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) is a federal law - it applies to every state in the US.

There are many different kinds of accomodations that can be requested. I included a link that will explain the most common types of accomodations - although many others are possible.

As a Ready-to-Rent instructor, I find many of my students do not consider themselves disabled, but still would meet the designation under the law. Check with your local ADA assistance center for details in your specific situation http://www.adata.org/
Reply:It means that the landlord agrees to make certain changes to help a disabled person within reason. Example-Joe Doe is wheelchair bound. He applies for section 8 housing in a house that does not have a wheelchair ramp. If the landlord signs the contract and agrees to let Mr. Doe live there, a reasonable accommodation would be to have the wheelchair ramp built.
Reply:Accommodations that fit the societal standard for comfort and cleanliness
